M-TECH-15th MECHANICAL COMPONENTS EXPO took place on June 22, 2011 at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan.

It was estimated that the number of Japanese visitors for the 5th Suzhou Fastener Trade Show held on April 8-9, 2011 in Suzhou accounted for 20% of the total overseas visitors, the largest proportion compared with visitors from other countries and regions.?This can be seen that fasteners made in China are more and more popular with Japanese purchasers. Therefore, China Fastener Info (CFI), the most popular media, attended the show again as a supporting media with the latest CFD2011 plus. CFI will distribute a great many CFDs and invitations of the 6th Guangzhou Fastener Trade Show to be held on Nov. 11-12, 2011 at Guangzhou Poly World Trade Expo Center, aiming to create more opportunities for fastener companies between Japan and China.

The show attracted about 1,600 exhibitors who mainly exhibit machine parts, materials, moulds and related equipment. The concurrent exhibitions were 22nd Design Engineer & Manufacturing Solutions Expo, 19th 3D & virtual Reality Expo and 2nd Medical Technology Expo. There were around 110 fastener companies in the show which showed slight decrease over the last year, and most of them were local companies. There were only two exhibitors from China mainland and five exhibitors from Taiwan.

Although exhibitors dropped but visitors coming to CFI’s booth kept increasing. Some visitors who had received our emails specially came to CFI’s booth to get information about China fastener industry. Some said they had read CFD magazines before and thought it was an important way to find Chinese suppliers.

The earthquake to some extent had impact on Japan fastener industry. Visitors told us that the earthquake not only had direct impact on some fastener manufacturing plants but also on some end-user factories?in the three counties attacked by the disaster which led to the decrease of orders and the output. The total output took up around 80 percent of the levels before earthquake.

The representatives of CFI also paid visit to some exhibiting companies from China mainland and Taiwan. They hoped that the number of visitors in the coming two days would increase though visitors showed decrease on Day1.
