Ho Chi Minh City, October 2019 - 13th edition of METALEX Vietnam has been conducted from 10 - 12 October at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), with 15,955 phenomenal quality visitors, and the presence of leading pioneer brands has provided encouraging impetus to the manufacturing industry.
The powerful combination of three shows, “METALEX Vietnam 2019”, “Welding Vietnam 2019” and “ROBOT X @ HCM” as well as the constellations of technology providers representing 500 brands from 25 countries, accompanied by 8 International Pavilions from China, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and the US was successful to introduce advanced metalworking solutions, latest welding technologies and high quality industrial robots.

Mr. Vu Trong Tai – General Manager of the organizer Reed Tradex Vietnam shared the result “After three informative trade fair days, the Vietnam’s international metalworking trade exhibition - “METALEX Vietnam 2019” reported record new visitor number at 15,955. More and more trade visitors are also coming from abroad (50 countries), apart from Vietnam, visitors predominantly came from Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, and Singapore.”

Mitutoyo has joined METALEX Vietnam 2019 and brought its advanced software to demonstrate “Smart Factory” concept, namely MiCAT planner coordinate measuring machines automatic part program generation. Manufacturing processes need the ability to quickly adapt to meet today's challenging demands. Firstly, shorter product life cycles require rapid change to design revisions and fast programming capability. Secondly, increasing machine up-time requires more efficient programs and reduced set-up time. Mitutoyo's CMM programming software, MiCAT Planner, meets all of these demands.

In its 13th edition, METALEX Vietnam 2019 has had a wide range of activities with the hopes of arming visitors with valuable experiences. First-time-ever in a manufacturing exhibition in Vietnam, on-site virtual welding training has been available. People have experience hands-on skill-building and welding performance with the integration of Lincoln Electric’s VRTEX® virtual reality welding simulators. From a realistic welding puddle to accurate sounds and movements, what can be learned virtually with a VRTEX welding simulator will seamlessly transcend into real-world, hands-on welding. Additionally, welding shows featuring state-of-the-art techniques from renowned international brands including T-Drill, Polysoude and EWM has been also be a keynote. Besides, at “Koma Taisen” competition, manufacturers from small to medium enterprise has been all set to showcase their metalworking skills and design re?ected through their customized spin tops. Lac Hong 2, the winner of the competition, will join the global competition in February, 2020 in Yokohama, Japan.
