METALEX Vietnam 2010 opened on October 7, 2010 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Although Vietnam is a developing country, the show has attracted lots of exhibitors from many other countries. It was estimated that there were about 213 exhibiting companies including 77 from Vietnam, 52 from Japan, 46 from Thailand, 14 from Singapore, and other 24 from China mainland, Taiwan, Britain, America, Sweden, Malaysia, India, Laos, etc.

China Fastener Info (CFI), as a supporting medium, first set foot on Vietnam, but was embraced with a lot of surprises and had a good harvest just on Day 1. First, to our surprise, those 52 exhibiting companies were all purchasers. They were CANON MACHINERY MALAYSIA SDN.BHD; CANON VIETNAM CO., LTD; HIACHI HIGH-TECHNILOGIES CORPORATION; NTN BEARING-SINGAPORE (PTE) LTD; OLYMPUS VIETNAM CO., LTD; TOSHIBA INDUSTRIAL PRODUTS ASIA CO., LTD; TOYOTA MOTOR VIETNAM CO., LTD and the like well-known Japanese companies.

Second, many buyers in the fair have a long-term purchasing demand for fasteners, and we plan to visit them one by one on Day 2, and invite them to visit the 5th Suzhou Fastener Trade Show (Apr.8-9, 2011,Suzhou) and the 6th Guangzhou Fastener Trade Show (Nov. 11-12, 2011,Guangzhou). Please pay attention to our more amazing follow-up reports.

Now let’s review something about those buyers on Day 1.

Mr.Abe, a purchaser of ABE SEISAKUSYO CO., LTD, thought highly of Chinese market, and wanted us to recommend some suitable suppliers. He planned to order W3/8 nuts for 2,000,000 pieces.

On the right is Mr. Ryuji Oda of HOSO INDUSTRY CO., LTD. He told us that his company has factories in Vietnam and Japan. Fasteners are one of their long-term purchasing product ranges. He also thanked us so much for our recommendation.

Second from the right is Mr. Shen Shuming of Guangzhou KECTEC Precision Tooling Co., Ltd. Mr. Shen needed to purchase high tensile fasteners in grade 8.2. He told us that he knew much about CFI, and it was glad to meet us here. This was also his first time to explore Vietnamese market.

At last, let’s appreciate some beautiful scenes in Vietnam.
