One old friend of China Fastener Info’s --- Shanghai Jingyang Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd

Jingyang’s General Manager Chen and Foreign Trade Manager Ms. Fu all attended this fair. They all praised China Fastener Info for its development in recent years. Ms. Fu once delivered a speech on 923 Banquet in 2008. She said, “Jingyang will create a brilliant future of Chinese fastener industry with China Fastener Info hand in hand!”

Mr. Zhou Zhi, President of Dalian Xingli Industrial Products Co., Ltd. (L)

Ms. Hu Lunna, Media Consultant of China Fastener Info, had a conversation with Mr. Zhou. It’s learned that Mr. Zhou was satisfied with this fair and expressed that the expected goal had already been achieved. At the same time, Mr. Zhou was also interested in 2009 Fastener Trade Show.

Communicating with a Dutch buyer

The conversation with this Dutch buyer was very impressive. Before the application of EU’s anti-dumping duties, their company had been importing fasteners from China. However, now they diverted to Philippines, Malaysia, etc. He expressed that the last thing they wanted to see was the anti-dumping duties, but it couldn’t be helped. He didn’t agree with the idea of entrepot trade via the third country to evade the anti-dumping duties. The reason is that the goods related to entrepot trade will undergo a strict examination by EU’s customs. If once the entrepot trade is found out, huge penalty tariff will be applied. What’s more, the company punished will not be able to import from the related country for a long time. Therefore, most EU companies are not willing to take a risk. However, he recommended a doable measure to deal with the anti-dumping duties that building factories in the third country, including purchasing machines. In this way, the country of origin will be the third country. For instance, a company from Chinese Taipei can build factories in Philippines and then export the products directly to EU.
