Taiwan fastener exports increased 2.65% to 1.058 million tons in the first eight months of 2017. The average exporting price grew 7% to $2.63/kg.

Taiwan fastener exports to EU dropped 1.22% to 356,000 tons during the first eight months with the average prices increasing 8.5% to $2.516/kg.

Taiwan’s fastener price hikes were caused by raw materials cost increases while the drop in the volume of fastener exports from Taiwan to EU was influenced by EU’s termination of antidumping duties against Chinese fasteners.
