U.S. fastener imports of iron and steel fasteners (HTS Code: 7318) declined 4% month-to-month to $432,371,646 in June and exports changed 0% to $329,065,520.

The top five exporters of fasteners to U.S. during June were Chinese Taiwan (down 6.51% month-to-month to $135.09 million); Mainland China (down 5.94% to $110.07 million); Japan (down 17.75% to $44.57 million); Canada (up 28.82% to $33.26 million); and Germany (down 3.37% to $28.06 million).

The top five consumers of U.S. fastener exports in June were Mexico (up 1.16% month-to-month to $113.70 million); Canada (up 6.33% to $91.35 million); UK (up 8.57% to $14.83 million); China (down 23.02% to $13.58 million); and France.

Exports during the first half of 2015 climbed 24% to 1.94 million tons, while imports grew 16.2% to 2.78 million.
