U.S. fastener imports of iron and steel fasteners (HTS Code: 7318) declined 9% month-to-month to $449,275,078 in May and exports decreased 1% to $327,569,341.

The top five exporters of fasteners to U.S. during May were Chinese Taiwan (down 10.08% month-to-month to $144.50 million); Mainland China (up 9.25% to $117.02 million); Japan (down 24.70% to $54.19 million); Germany (down 17.64% to $29.04 million); and Canada (down 3.74% to $26.02 million).


The top five consumers of U.S. fastener exports in May were Mexico (up 0.96% month-to-month to $112.40 million); Canada (down 5.33% to $85.91 million); China (up 12.57% to $17.64 million); UK (up 3.64% to $13.66 million); and Germany (down 0.75% to $9.29 million).
