On September 16-19 at KINTEX, the Korea Metal Week 2014 saw its grand opening! China Fastener Info (CFI), as one of the supporting media attended the exhibition with our popular magazines—China Fastener Directory (CFD), kicking off its 72th global trip stop (Booth No. 5e193).

South Korea is one of China’s important trading partners in the world. The bilateral trades between these two countries have been kept increasing. The trade of fasteners between these two partners also saw rapid development in recent years. In 2013 South Korea imported 107,461 tons of fasteners from China which took up 34.6% of South Korea’s total imports of fasteners. And the value reached 180 million US dollars. Meanwhile, China imported 25,202 tons of fasteners from South Korea with the total value of 127 million US dollars.

Moreover, South Korean TV dramas have been quite popular with China youth. The recent TV drama—“My love from the Star” has become a hot word in China youth.

CFD magazines also became hot readings in the Korea Metal Week 2014 as our booth attracted many professional visitors. We warmly welcame all visitors to our booths and sincerely invited them to the upcoming 13th Fastener Trade Show Suzhou which will be held on October 29-31,2014 at Suzhou International Expo Center, Suzhou, China.

The Korea Metal Week, for the past a quarter of a century, has been kept its best role to be the best market place for global metal industry. Becoming as an annual exhibition from this year, the Korea Metal Week is comprised of seven exhibitions, such as Fastener & Wire, Die Casting & Foundry, Automobile & Machine Parts, Press & Forging, Tube & Pipe, Metal Surface Treatment & Painting and New 3D Printing Technology.

It’s estimated that the fair attracted around 340 exhibitors from 15 countries with more than 560 booths on 12,000 sqm and big national pavilions from China, India and Chinese Taiwan. Most of the exhibitors were local companies. There were around 37 exhibitors from Mainland China. Other exhibitors were from India, Japan, Israel, Germany, US, Switzerland, US, Singapore, Spain, Italy, etc.

Concurrently, two major trade fairs specialized Factory Automation (KOFAS) and Tools (Tool Tech) for metal industry, are held together with Korea Metal Week, at the same period under one roof to create synergy effect to both visitors and exhibitions.

In addition, technical conferences and seminars with various topics were also concurrently held.
