China’s fastener exports rose 0.67% to USD 3.59 billion in the first nine months, accounting for 39% of the total export value of the general mechanical component industry. The fastener imports decrease 0.5% to USD 2.34 billion, taking up 17.7% of the industry’s total import value.

The general mechanical component industry show slow recovery in the third quarter.

The output value for the general mechanical component industry totaled RMB 232 billion in the first nine months of 2013, up 5.4%. The six branches of general mechanical component industry all showed positive growth. The six branches include fasteners, chains, springs, powder metallurgies, transmission joints and gears.

The import and export value of general mechanical components totaled USD22.37 billion in the first nine months of 2013, up 5.5%. The export value rose 6.3% to USD 9.17 billion while import value increased 5.05% to USD 13.19 billion.
