Exhibition Name: South Africa Terminates Investigation on China’s Hexagon Screws
| Exhibition introduction

On December 18, 2012 South Africa decided to terminate the investigation on import of screws with hexagonal heads from China. South Africa found no evidence that China had been dumping products although the complainant suffered or possibly suffered the material injury. Therefore South Africa determined to terminate the investigation.

The South Africa imposed an investigation on import of fully threaded screws with hexagonal heads, excluding stainless steel screws from China on November 2011, and introduced an antidumping duty of 104.5% to protect the industry in the interim on May 2012. The antidumping measures are seen as an extension of existing antidumping measures against Chinese manufacturers of nuts and bolts.
