The 2012 National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo opened on October 10-12 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada USA.

China Fastener info, as the most popular fastener media in China attended the show with the aim of strengthening the cooperation between Chinese companies and overseas companies.

Registration for the Expo was up from the previous year, Expo management announced. Attendees numbered 4,246 from the United States and 39 foreign countries from around the world. Fastener distributors made up the majority of the "Decision Markers" visiting with 662 companies exhibiting from 771 booths.

"Exhibitors were very happy with the number of leads and new contacts they made during the first day of the exhibition. The second day, visits continued with distributors but the exhibitors also had the opportunity to visit with other exhibitors they conduct business with throughout the year,” said Mike McGuire, editor of American Fastener Journal.

"We received many compliments on the quality of the Expo from exhibitors and attendees alike, and many companies indicated they would be returning next year with even larger exhibits”, informs Susan Hurley, the Expo’s General Manager.

China Fastener Info’s booth was quite popular with visits and exhibitors. The newly published China Fastener Directory 2013 (CFD 2013) saw its debut in the Expo. This was the sixth time for China Fastener Info to attend the Expo. Many visitors were very familiar with us and our magazine CFD. Most of them showed great interest in the latest CFD 2013 and the upcoming 2012 Fastener Trade Show Suzhou scheduled for November 1-2, 2012 at Suzhou International Expo Center, Suzhou, China.

It was estimated China is one of America’s largest trade partner for fasteners. Exports to the USA from China Mainland for fasteners reached 245,784,047 kg with the value totaling $476,690,526 in the first half of 2012. The threaded screws and nuts were the largest exported categories, taking up 70% of the total export volume. Therefore, the Expo attracted many companies from China Mainland to around 126 exhibitors.
