2012 METALEX VIETNAM kicked off on October 4, 2012 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC). China Fastener Info, as the only one supporting media from Mainland China attended the show (Booth Q17).

METALEX VIETNAM, organized by Reed Tradex, has a strong reputation in Vietnam and is the largest professional exhibition in Vietnam's metalworking industry. The exhibition attracted 500 global brands from 25 countries and 7,000 buyers around the world.

As the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area came into effect on January 1, 2010, the two partners are becoming the important markets for each other. Hence the main task for China Fastener Info to attend the show is to strengthen the trade relationships between companies in these two countries.

During the show, representatives of China Fastener Info introduced Chinese suppliers to visitors, and invited them to the 8th Fastener Trade Show Suzhou scheduled for November 1-2, 2012 at Suzhou International Expo Center. Visitors could get the latest CFD magazine from China Fastener Info’s booth.

There are two industries demanding huge fasteners in Vietnam. The first one is engineering machinery and part market. The investment by the government on the infrastructure projects sees an increase. Only 6% of the metalwork and industrial products are produced by Vietnam, the rest are imported from other countries. The second one is the vehicle market. Motorcycles are the common transportation for Vietnamese. Vietnam has become the fifth manufacturing strategic market of motorcycles in the world. With the improvement of the infrastructure, demand for cars and trucks is expected to increase in the cities. Therefore, the component market in Vietnam has great potential.
