The 7th Fastener Trade Show Chengdu with the theme of “New West, New Opportunity, New Transformation” saw its opening at Chengdu Century City New International Convention & Exhibition Center on May 25-26, 2012.

In the past year, China fastener industry saw its fast growth in both Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta. However, as the fast development in western China, the region’s economy is accelerating in recent years. Till now 220 of the World's Top Five Hundred Enterprises have moved into this region and more and more projects have been invested. The western land has been releasing strong economic power and is expected to become the third fastest growth region for China’s fastener industry.

Moreover, affected by the world’s economy recession, anti-dumping, hike of labor cost and raw materials and backed by the government’s policies, China’s manufacturing industries including electronic, automobile and fastener are now beginning a large westward movement. The 7th Fastener Trade Show Chengdu held on May 25-26, 2012 aims to open the door of the western China to the fastener industry and help enterprises find the business chances.

Emily Chang, person in charge of the exhibition said, “The Fastener Trade Show has a principle that it will be held in both developed markets and emerging markets as long as they have developmental opportunities and potentials. Chengdu, as the political, economic, cultural and information center of western China, has strong emissivity to the west which can bring huge vitality to the western market and strengthen businessmen’s confidence.

"Our vision is simple for this exhibition. That is we hope more and more China’s fastener companies can have their own quality and brands, breaking away from the low-end manufacture. I truly believe that a value exhibition should not only be judged by the strength of the organizer, visitor number, deal of amount, but also be judged by its influence over the industry, the region and even the society and industrialization process,” Emily continued.

It’s worth mentioning that the 7th Fastener Trade Show launched its 1st Fastener Training Center Alumni Club and many exhibitors displayed their latest products and technology, which would surely bring lots of surprises to overseas visitors.
