The 13th edition of Hardware+Tools Middle East was held by Messe Frankfurt on 8-10th May 2012 at Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The most popular media—China Fastener Info (CFI) once again attended the exhibition as the supporting media (Booth# HT1412), and released follow-up reports. Meanwhile, China Fastener Dictionary (CFD) published by CFI, representing the new trend of China fastener industry, continues to fulfill its mission of helping China fastener enterprises to go global.

This year’s exhibition was officially opened by Eng. Essa AlMaidoor, Chairman, Society of Engineers - UAE. The opening time was 10:00am-6:00pm, and there were 201 exhibitors (205 exhibitors last edition), among which about 155 companies were from Mainland China and 11 companies were from Taiwan. It’s estimated that there were about 13 fastener enterprises from China in the show including Ningbo Zhonglian, Gem-Year, Haiyan Heaven & Earth Hardware, Jiangsu Ronry Nico, Jiaxing Chinafar, Pinghu Heshun, Yongnian Longteng, Jiashan Ziheng, Hangzhou Furuida, Haiyan Chnstar, Ningbo Sun-Alps, Jiangsu Xinghai, etc.

On Day 1 visitors wasn’t increasing until 2pm which may be because of the local customs. Exhibitors from China saw a decrease compared with that of the previous two years. Some Chinese exhibitors attributed it to the impact of the world’s depressed economy, and demand from buyers in Middle East not only declined but also they have attached much importance on the price. On the contrary, some hold positive views on this market compared with markets in US and Europe, and believed that Dubai Hardware + Tools Middle East was a leading bridge for Asian businessmen to African and European markets, especially to African market because many buyers from Africa came for business opportunities in the exhibition.
