| Exhibition introduction

A 6.8-magnitude earthquake rocked northeastern Japan on 14 March. China Fastener Info (CFI) experienced this earthquake and since we were in Tokyo we felt few tremors. It seems that the Japanese get used to the earthquake and can soon return to their work as usual. The 3rd International Auto Materials & Processing Technologies Tokyo was held as scheduled on 14 March at Tokyo Big Sight.

The 10th International Auto Aftermarket Expo and 3rd Automotive Telecommunication Technology Tokyo were held simultaneously. China Fastener Info, as the only fastener media from Mainland China attended the exhibition (Booth 1056).

Emily Chang, General Manager of CFI presents the CFD magazine to the hands of buyers.

Miss Wang Jinting, Japanese customer of CFI is recommending Chinese suppliers to buyers.

The show, supported by the Japanese government, is the only auto parts processing trade show that attracts strong attention in Japan. The scale of the show achieved 82% growth this year due to its close down in 2011 for the earthquake disaster. The number of exhibitors has increased to 250 from the previous of 137, among which 52 exhibitors are from Mainland China.

Visitor Registration Counter

On Day 1 China Fastener Info has received over 150 business cards. The majority of the visitors are from parts manufacturing companies, trading companies, maintenance shops, parts distribution and auto manufacturing companies. We introduced our magazine CFD to those fastener purchasers and invited them to the upcoming 7th Fastener Trade Show Chengdu. Many of them showed great interest in the show and some even have done research on the Chengdu market.

With the increasing competition of China’s fastener quality, many Japanese buyers intend to purchase fasteners from China. China has become Japan’s biggest trading partner of fasteners. According to data from Ministry of Finance Japan, China’s fastener exports to Japan up 8.9% to 124070.2 tons during Jan.-Nov. 2011 with export value up 11.1% to 23 billion yen while imports from Japan down 0.7% to 73087.5 tons with import value down 1.0% to 59 billion yen.

There is no doubt that Mainland China has become Japan’s auto manufacturers one of the most important markets.
