Hardware +Tools Middle East, the leading trade show that is at the pulse of the hardware, tools, machinery and building materials industries in the region and organized by Epoc Messe Frankfurt, opened at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on May 10, 2011 (local time). China Fastener Info (CFI) attended the show as a supporting medium aiming to hand out a large number of China Fastener Directory(CFD)magazines and recommend Chinese fastener suppliers to overseas purchasers so as to create more cooperative opportunities between them (Booth: HT1126) .

The show is held once a year. It provides a platform for visitors and exhibitors from regions of Arab and Middle East to communicate and do business. It can also help accelerate the development of the local market.

The growth of the construction industry in the UAE is expected to be as much as 20 per cent annual CAGR rate between 2010 and 2013, reported RNCOS in its report of Dubai Construction Industry Outlook. In addition, UAE ranked No.17 among the visitor traffic of China Fastener Info’s website www.chinaFastenerinfo.net. These can be seen that demand from UAE market is huge. Therefore, Chinese companies actively booked the stands in order to explore the UAE market.

The show lasts for three days as usual. There were 238 exhibitors in total from China mainland, Taiwan, Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia, India, Sweden, Singapore, etc. Companies from China took a large proportion. It was estimated there were around 30 fastener companies from China including Zhejiang Aozhan, Shanghai Rivet, Dongtai Qinbiao, Tianjin Chengxinsheng, Jiangsu Zhenya, Huachao Screw, etc.

Although the number of visitors was not large on Day 1 but CFI’s booth was quite popular with visitors. They came to our booth to fetch CFD magazines and brochures of the 6th Guangzhou Fastener Trade Show to be held at Guangzhou Poly World Expo Center from November 11-12, and inquire information of Chinese fastener suppliers. Representatives of CFI gave them satisfying answers one by one.
