The 14th National Industrial Fastener Show/West opened at Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas, a charming city renowned as the Entertainment Capital of the World, America, on November 9th, 2010. China Fastener Info (CFI, Booth 124), the most famous and popular fastener medium in China, attended this prominent show again with over 1, 800 latest China Fastener Directory (CFD) 2011 and CFD2010 Plus, aiming at providing the latest fastener news and supplying information for professional buyers so as to create more cooperative opportunities for both China domestic companies and overseas companies.

It was estimated the show's exhibit space reached 72, 000 sq feet, totaling around 568 booths, a 13 % increase from 2009. On top of the 40 fastener equipment and mould companies, most of them were fastener companies. They were from Belgium, Canada, China Mainland, India, Israel, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Chinese Taiwan and UK. American companies took up the largest proportion.

It was worthwhile to mention that there were a total of 91 Chinese fastener companies attending this show including Zhejiang New Oriental, Shanghai Jingyang, Autocraft Industrial (Shanghai), Shanghai Prime Machinery, Shanghai Rivet Manufacture, Shanghai Fast-Fix Rivet, Sanhuan Fasteners, Shanghai Minmetals-Fastener, Zhejiang Qifeng, Hifasters Industrial, Anhui Ningguo Dongbo Fastener, Jiaxing Chaoboer Electro-Mechanical, Jiashan Yongxin, Ningbo Fastener Factory, Haiyan Heaven & Earth Hardware and Machinery, Jingjiang Hengfeng Rivet, Haiyan Huacheng Fasteners, Haiyan Huilian General Fitting, Hangzhou Dingyuan, Hangzhou Ankou, Shanghai Sunrise, Ningbo Haixin, Grand Industries, Zhuji Ouyang, Dongtai QB Stainless, etc., all of which, I believed, you must have been quite familiar with. From the increasing number of Chinese exhibiting companies, we can see that Chinese fastener industry is growing up, and we believe that more and more Chinese fastener companies will become popular with buyers from all round the world in the near future.

The number of visitors hit high in the hall at 10 a.m. local time, and CFI’s stand was crowded with a great many visitors. They came for our CFD magazines and brochures on our desks. Some buyers also asked for recommendation of domestic suppliers by presenting us with their samples. And some buyers were extremely ecstatic because they found that the potential suppliers they found in our CFDs also exhibited in the show. They were most grateful for us after we told them the companies’ booth numbers.

To our delight, many overseas purchasers had been quite familiar with China Fastener Info and lots of them told us that they were our online members and paid close attention to our website and show information. Some of them even visited Fastener Trade Show organized by CFI before. When asked about their opinions on the shows, they all felt satisfied with the outcome.

Visitors coming to West Show were mainly from America, Canada and Mexico. After talking with them, we found that most of them had purchased fasteners in China before. Some that once imported fasteners from Taiwan also began to pay attention to companies in China mainland and considered importing from China mainland because of the competitive price, increasingly quality of the products, excellent service and fast response the mainland companies provide as more and more well-known companies emerge.
