The 4th Stop of China Fastener Info 2010 Global Tours is Dubai. In fact, this is the second time that we are invited to Hardware + Tools Middle East by the organizer.
I believe that all of you have been quite familiar with Dubai’s landmarks—The Buri Al Arab Hotel, Golden Street and Dubai Mall. As a leading hardware show among the five largest local hardware shows, Hardware + Tools Middle East certainly will attract a great many of fastener companies to visit it.
According to Muslim custom, local companies generally open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Therefore, China Fastener Info, after arriving at Dubai at it local time—1:40 a.m. on May 16, even had no time to take a shower but hurrying to visit the Dubai Hardware Street. It was 4 o’clock in the afternoon when we arrived at this busy street.
Dubai is divided into two parts—the eastern part and the western part by a creek on the map. The western part is very busy which can be found from this bustling hardware street. With the help of local people, we walked through the street’s main road and found that there were totally around 4 fastener shops here apart from some in the lane. According to a hardware shop’s manager, every company here as a matter of fact is able to deal in fasteners, and they have their own purchase channels. Besides, we also know that purchasers here not only are the local businessmen but also people from many other countries such as Iran, India, countries in Africa and so on. Thus, it is a great opportunity for China’s domestic fastener companies to explore markets in these areas.
