China Securities Journey reported on Monday that In-Depth Analysis Report of China's key industries, which is composed by experts from National Development & Reform Commission and
China's State Information Center, predicts that in 2009, the pace of RMB appreciation will obviously slow down, up 1-2% the whole year.

The report also pointed out that USD might still maintain a strong trend, not excluding the possibility of interim depreciation of RMB.

Recently, U.S. financial crisis has become increasingly intense, but USD remains a strong trend, which affects the pace of RMB appreciation to slow down. However, since the beginning of 2008, RMB has appreciated 6% against USD.
